"Twin Falls Idaho" is one of my Top 10 of all times. It's the quietest, most beautiful character study I've ever seen, and shows what can be done with color when one uses it sparingly. Every actor in it shines, every scene advances the story perfectly, and in the end, it is moving beyond description. For those into deep, patiently-developing films, this is the jewel in the deepest of caves. |
