I admit. I grow up loving this movie. Before reading the actual book by Frank Baum to my child, I would have rated this move outstanding. However, I see that the movie fails to bring out many of the lessons and points that Baum wanted to show. But, you can't argue with the longevity of the story that was adapted for the movie. The movie is very much different from the book in so many ways. If you have not read the book I recommend it especially if you have young children. Read it to your children. |
