Yes, this movie is historically inaccurate, but anyone using a movie to learn history deserves to be mislead. These are the same people that believe chain letters. Let face it, some people just prefer to be under-informed, or not informed at all, so stop giving bad reviews based on this. The movie is entertaining, moving, and creates a feeling of the hardship of war. THAT is the point of the movie. The story is just one part of the structure of the movie, and it is a good story, whether true or not. The rest of the movie has great acting, disturbing visuals, and great direction. Its not a documentary, folks. |
