I'm all for stylized, creative films, but Run Lola Run ends up just the hollow shell of a film. It feels like an experimental film from a student filmmaker with writer's block. There's lots of pretty cinematography, but is there a single character that really interested me or I cared about? No. There are a lot of interesting concepts like the camera shots of a person's future, but they seemed out of place and had nothing to do with the action.
The actors are given little to do really, so nothing special comes from them. The whole time warp concept was interesting, but it seemed like we were watching the same mediocre short film three times in a row.
