Alright hockey fans!!! This one was voted best hockey movie of all time on ****.com (And, yes,
"Miracle" was included in the choices!)
Just a fun cast, fun characters...an all around fun movie!
Mystery, Alaska...where hockey's not a sport, it's a way of life....correction...it IS life! No pro hockey league here...no professional teams at all...Just the "Boys of Winter"! Most of the male population play hockey in the "Saturday Game", every weekend. These guys get the oppurtunity to play the New York Rangers. Will they win or lose? Will the big game be a good thing or a bad thing for Mystery?
Outstanding performances by nearly everybody in the cast...Pay special attention to John Biebe's
(Crowe) wife Donna (McCormak). Mary McCormack does such an awesome job in this role...You can't
help but love her!
Several cameos by Mike Myers, Barry Melrose, Little Richard, Phil Esposito and others. |
