This film provides the perfect excuse to shoe case Jane Horrack's amazing voice. I though she was miming untill my Mum told me the film had been specially written for her. From that moment I was captivated, how does she sound so precisely like all those singers? The plot is very moving and her painful shyness makes you question why. When she finally reveals the answer and stands up to her dominating (but hilariou!) slag of a Mum you really feel a sense of triumph. All the acting in this was first class. |
