Makes Pulp of Pulp Fiction

In some ways it's the antithesis of Pulp Fiction, which was a much more commercial film with a somewhat tiresome emphasis on star turns. This film strikes much closer to home--the cast reminds you of people you know who you could almost see in these situations.(The movie only goes off the tracks in one or two of the secondary roles.) Big stars, pretentious directors can muddle a concept. Go demonstrates that less can be more. Way more. |
