"Fight Club" will blow you away!

This movie is absolutely amazing. I had heard about it from friends for years, but I never saw it, tossing it aside as a mindless, beat-the-crap-out-of-each-other kind of movie. Boy, was I wrong.

The first thing you have to realize about Fight Club is that it is not for the faint of heart. The actual fighting in this movie will make you queasy, but it is imperative. You may think, well, these guys are crazy, because their is no other reason for doing this to themselves. Wrong! Once you realize that everything in this movie is about self-enlightenment, it will start to come together.

In the meantime, though, the acting will definitely keep you interested. Brad Pitt is phenomenal, and Edward Norton makes the movie worth seeing. Why neither were nominated for Oscars is beyond me. But the plot is what is truly amazing. While very dark, when it is all over you will realize the impact of what Tyler Durden (Pitt) is trying to teach these men. When I watched it the first time, I thought I had it all figured out. Boy was I wrong. The ending blew my mind. Literally. I sat in the dark for ten minutes just trying to figure out the meaning of one event, and I am a pretty bright guy. This is not a movie that you can see one time. But you know what? It's worth it.
