Poor marketing for a great movie

At my first viewing of the trailer for this movie, I remember thinking, 'Hollywood had set it's standards pretty low with Showgirls, and even though I thought it wasn't possible, they are now even lower.'
However, this was a very poorly marketed film. People who liked the ads, were very disappointed by the movie (too much thinking stuff); and people who would have liked it, had an opinion something along the the same line as me.
After seeing the movie, though, I am left in shock at how fantastic it actually was. The movie has an uncomprimising cruelty not often seen in hollywood movies; It had a dark, nasty sense of humor; and poinent view on the modern establishment and the animal nature of human beings. I might be overdoing it. But see it, it's good. |
