Let me first say this: I am not big on violence. I cannot stand violent movies or video games. I also have never been interested in action movies; the lack of plot tends to bore me.
Now that I have shared my intense dislike of violence, let me say that Fight Club is the only violent movie I really liked. It was filled with action, but action the audience could appreciate because it had to do with a terrific plot.
I thought that the acting was fantastic, and the story so astoundingly complex that my friends and I still discuss the plot.
This movie was made for mostly men, but I found it so interesting that I find it hard not to like. And although the violence still affects me, I think the critics were a little too harsh on this film. |
