For William Hartford, the confession of his wife becomes the start of a journey deep into himself, his life, and the world where he lives.And he finds another world which is living beneath the superficial tranquility of ours, a world which has it's own rules and pleasures.And indeed it is something inevitable.All of us,as Kubrick says, have evils inside ourselves and if we don't find any, we haven't looked good enough into ourselves.We should accept it and face the harsh raelities of life.We should all see "Eyes Wide Shut" in order to have a better understanding about ourselves, our social relationships and our world. |
