This is also one of my favourite movies i've ever seen, it has a unique feel about it throughout. Ryan Phillippe gives his most indulged role of his career so far, a versatile young actor who shuns superstardom for character portrayals. His Sebastian Valmont is an every-girl-wants-every -guy-wants-to-be' kinda of guy, though at times he seemed a little camp Phillippe simply wowed me with his natural and sinister charisma. I like the films sardonic tone giving the word 'scheming' a new meaning. Its so good in fact that Sebastian Valmont, though not real has become a little bit of a role model, i mean after watching this film don't you just wanna go out there a seduce as many girls as you can and claim them as your 'conquests' and put them in your journal, because i did. Sarah Michelle Gellar gives a career best also with a very impressive and bitchy role, in fact you completely forget the whole Buffy thing within the first five seconds. . |
