The plot of this fim was a little predictable: it follows a central protagonist (Bowfinger) who attempts to make a movie despite seemingly insurmountable odds, however, thanks to Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy it is, at moments, hilarious. Murphy's ability to play two completely different characters is once again proved and while Heather Graham's character is stereotypical she is amusing to watch as she shifts her attentions from one man to another dependind on who has what she wants. The overall message of the film is a positive one: you can achieve your dreams if you try, and so this makes for cosy viewing. |
