This is one of the few movies that makes me cry every time I see it. THe emotion is raw, and it depicts the worst people in life. There is a racist in every world you stumble into even today. It drives home the point especially with one of Danny's last statements in his paper: "Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time." That is basically what this movie is about. One of Edward Norton's best pieces of work. All the acting is outstanding, the story is brutally honest, the writing and direction was brilliant... just an overall wonderful movie. Keep in mind this is not for the faint of heart. There is some very intense s*** in this movie. However if you are looking for a movie that is thought provoking, intelligent, and emotional it is the right thing for you. |
