The director of the
"Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, Gore Verbinski, will shoot
his first animated feature, a $100 million project targeted for
a 2010 release.
The action-adventure film is based on an undisclosed idea
developed by Verbinski's Blind Wink Prods. and producer John B.
Carls. Screenwriter John Logan ("Sweeney Todd") is in talks to
pen the film with sequels in mind.
Graham King, the Oscar-winning producer of "The Departed,"
is financing the untitled film's development, and will produce
with Verbinski and Carls.
