In Hollywood, Dolph Lundgren probably couldn't get a callback. But in Sofia, Bulgaria, he's busy starring in his 35th film and planning to follow it with his fourth directorial effort.

After wrapping Direct Contact, the third film he will have made in Bulgaria, 50-year-old actor-director Dolph Lundgren says he plans to make a fourth one there, Command Performance, a movie that will also be his fourth directorial effort. In terms of premise, it seems to have a good start.
"It's kind of a Die Hard 2 set in an opera house," he tells the Sofia Echo. All in all, life is pretty good for Dolph, who has managed to balance a fondness for vodka and tequila with four-times-a-week rigorous workouts to maintain the body of a 35-year-old. He also has an intriguing explanation as to why he has chosen to live in Marbella, Spain, home to Sean Connery, Joan Collins and other celebs.
"I've spent time in other Mediterranean countries like Italy, Greece and the South of France, but these are countries that prefer outsiders to adapt to their culture," Lundgren offers. "In Spain, on the other hand, you're left alone to enjoy your own culture."
Starring opposite Lundgren in Direct Contact is Irish born beauty queen Gemma Garrett, the currently crowned Miss Great Britain. She previously worked as Sienna Miller's body double on the Daniel Craig crime thriller Layer Cake. According to the website Ireland Online, Lundgren is so happy with her efforts in the film that he plans to use her again on the aforementioned Command Performance.
