In just a few weeks, more than 3,000 people have jumped aboard the Diablo Cody news bulletin train.

There are a few celebrities on Twitter, the service that allows many to follow the text messaged thoughts of one, who post regularly on the burgeoning service. But just as Diablo Cody put a torch to conventional teen comedy-drama dialogue, she's now keeping an ever growing posse of followers posted in her own inimitable way, as she has this week while in Vancouver for the filming of Jennifer's Body, her second collaboration with Jason Reitman.
Far more fascinating (at least to us) than the latest perfect-looking celeb's struggles with drugs, alcohol and-or rehab is the fact that Cody didn't have time to take a shower before boarding the plane to B.C. "Overslept. No shower. Had to make do with crackhead pigtails and a gentleman's wash." A few second later, she clarifies. "The latter being a foppish way of saying (whore's bath)."
In her Vancouver hotel room, Cody decided to check out the DVD recommended to her by Steven Spielberg ("Who is this Fellini dude, anyhow?"). On Monday, from the set, she couldn't help but semi-apologize to one of the lead actors ("I wish I could show you guys the prom dress Amanda Seyfried's being forced to wear right now. I am a cruel master."). And so on. All that's missing are her thoughts on the surprising decision by Juno star Ellen Page to head in the Jane Austen direction.
At press time, Cody had posted 132 messages since joining Twitter on April 26th. But already, she has a kind of Blackberry sweet swagger that other Oscar winning screenwriters are going to be hard pressed to follow. So go go go Diablo, and don't forget next trip to leave enough time for a shower. The other folks in first class will thank you.
