This movie is the funniest movie ever filmed. I know, a bold statement, but it was Mel Brooks at his best, Gene Wilder at his most eccentric and Marty Feldman at his...er...strangest. The visuals for this movie were quite fitting if you take into account the source of parody, no it was not the glitzy effects filled fluff that you get with todays movies, but rather a comentary and homage to the horror classics of yesteryear. This works very well for the movie as the visuals are underscored enough that they do not take away from the acting which, along with the writing, is the biggest strength of the movie. Incidently, how can you write any decent review in under 30 words? If you haven't seen Young Frankenstein yet, to heighten the experience, you may want to take a seg-a-give before Gene Hackman makes his espresso.
