Camouflaged flaws !!!

star55

I have noticed 3 MAJOR holes in the story line.

First of all, the flaw that I took personally was, when Charles(James McAvoy) and Erik(Michael Fassbender) go to fetch Logan (Hugh Jackman) in the Bar, Logan was both Charles's and Erik's age. How is that possible when back in 2000, in X-Men we saw, Old Professor X and Logan almost half his age. (like that was just basic carelessness of the storyline) Thats the first mistake and most important, as I am a huge fan of Logan/Hugh !!

Secondly, by the end of the movie, when Erik accidentally diverts the bullet into Charles, it so happens that after Erik leaves, Charles realizes that he cannot "feel" his legs, which obviously implies that from then on he lost use of his leg, moreover in the end, he is seen using a wheelchair. BUT, I dont exactly remember which, the 2nd or the 3rd but in one of them, in a flash back it shoes that both professor X and Magneto, together as friends come to get the young Jean from her home.Except there, Professor X walked into the house.Surely I remember that scene. Another big fault in the storyline. (shame) (tsk tsk)

And Third, while watching the X-men trilogies, and from the flashbacks, you get the idea that professor X and magneto have been friends since a long time, magneto even helped professor build the Serebro, but in this movie,Erik leaves even before the school;s existence ?!?!!

You may be a Hugh fan, but you're obviously not an Xmen fan, there's plenty of things these guys messed up! Like wolverine and sabertooth being brothers, they are NOT brothers.wolverines life longevity is due to his healing factor which some have alraedy mentioned. "Ladydeath strike" whom he fought and killed in the adamantium lab is actually his wife Yuriko who vowed revenge after being told wolverine had killed her father to get the secret of the adamantium process and loads more stuff, in short just enjoy it bub!!

With Logan, it's to do with the healing factor,it ages him at a much slower rate than normal humans, you'll see the same thing "origins"where he goes through world war one AND world war two where he and sabertootha have not changed at all.

Wolverine has the ability to not age, as you can see in previous movies!!

There are two Angels, the original 60's one and a later one from the 2000's. Magneto has been an on-again, off again ally of the X-Men since the 80's, but yeah, Xavier lost his hair when his powers manifested

As I understand it, Wolverine's abilities also make him age extremely slowly......as for the other stuff, I think the filmmakers took a lot of liberty with the source material. I could write an essay on the stuff they got wrong. The ages of Sebastian Shaw (not a Nazi) and Banshee (not a teenager); they mixed and matched mutants from different eras (Banshee's from the 60's, 'Angel's from the '00's). Moira MacTaggert is a Scottish geneticist, not a CIA agent).......

As I understand it, part of Wolverine's mutation is that besides having super healing powers, he also ages very slowly - becuase his cells regeneration doesn't gradually go kaput like ours does. While I never followed the comic book story line, we know from the Wolverine Origins movie that he is probably 130-140 years old, and he looked essentially the same for most of his adult life. There is no reason why he would have looked different in this movie.

I believe the scene with Jean Grey was at the beginning of The Last Stand (#3). It's a good point you make... my assumption was that she was visited by Charles and Erik during their scouting for the other mutants, but of course she wasn't in this first class movie, so that doesn't really track. Anyone with an explanation??

It certainly seems from this movie that Hank made the first version of Cerebro, not Magneto... but I don't know if that's a story flaw as I wasn't aware that Magneto was supposed to have helped with that.
