Finally got to see it. Some cute nostalgia for old games (where do the characters go when they are (gasp) UNplugged) and some sickly sweet competition (a racing candyland game called Sugar Rush). Not bad, rather amusing until...Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch as a Tough mechasoldier) and Felix FixIT have to escape a NesQuikSand pit using LaffyTaffy ropes. LaffyTaffy is attracted to funny things that make it laugh. What makes it laugh in this case is Calhoun giving Fixit a beating-- black eye, swollen nose, big lip etc. Even Calhoun says she cant keep doing it, Fixits a nice guy. But Fixit waves his Golden Hammer, says "its OK I can FIX it" and they keep going till the taffy hauls them out of the QuikSand. ??? Violence is funny and beating up your friends is OK? Where did this come from? (and yes things were being broken everywhere, and the obvious battle clone game Hero's Duty was very violent against Bugs/creepycrawlies, so this wasnt the only violence. But it was staggeringly inappropriate all the same. I'm surprised Jane Lynch went along with it.
