Winnie the Pooh(2011)- User Reviews

I took my two sons, 8 & 5. The 8 year old resisted a bit, he had seen the trailer before Cars 2 earlier in the summer and thought Pooh was 'for babies.' But it turned out both of them loved the movie, and I enjoyed it too. A big plus for me was they certainly understood the film far better than Cars 2, because Cars 2, like most or possibly all other kids movies these days, has an overly complicated plot, jokes obviously aimed at adults, and moved so quickly kids cannot keep up. In comparison, Pooh moved at an approriate pace, the story was simple, the kids got all the jokes, the 'scary' parts were enough to give young kids a thrill but not induce nightmares, and the message of helping friends & acceptance of others was subtly delivered. Lovely.
