This is a politically incorrect, masculine opinion. If you want touchy-feely-goody, you should really stop reading my review and look elsewhere.
Romantic comedies come in two basic categories, Watchable and Un-watchable. This film lands squarely in the Watchable category. That means that I can bear it for two hours and it makes my wife happy when I do. This is basically a good "points" movie. The women already know what its about and the men can make points by watching it.
Sandra Bullock is cute and the other actors do a good job with their roles. Oh no! she is in an impossible situation. But, wait, it all worked out with a happy ending.
Yes, we would rather watch things get blown up or a good car chase but, hey, you don't get any points for those.
