Fresh * Funny * Sweet * Romantic. If nothing else - get this and watch the "pick up" of Meg Ryan by Andy Garcia - that takes place before the opening credits. It's outrageous & hilarious & fun.

I would have to say that this movie, as is typical of many Hollywood films, glossed over a serious problem and of course, in the course of 2 hours, everyone was better and lived happily ever after.

I love this movie, it is one of my favorites. The tables are reversed here a bit... with the young, beautiful mother being the alcoholic in the family. And the charming husband attempts to be her lifesaver.

Makes you laugh, makes you cry, and in my case, made me feel how lucky I am to have a pretty normal, if not boring life and family. Acting was first class from Meg and Andy and also the kids did a very convincing job as well.more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
