What to Expect When You're Expecting(2012)- User Reviews

Be Real People

Okay, my first comment is regarding the fact that this movie genre specifically states that it is a comedy. It was not particulary written to be educational, even though there may be some pregnancy facts and info included throughout the film. First and foremost, however, it is going to be humorous. Secondly, to the person that went off about breast-feeding, I have a couple remarks on that. Breast-feeding is the better option when and if it is possible. I am not saying that breast milk will make children smarter, prettier, more atlethic, or anything else. I was not breast fed and I have a bachelors of science and now teach teenagers about pregnancy and parenting myself. My view comes from other issues, such as health and finances. Ear infections are not as common among breast feed children, and financially you can't beat the fact that breast milk is free and available upon demand! Formula costs a fortune and carrying around formula, water, bottles, and finding a way to warm it all isn't always easy! I have both breast feed and bottle feed my children. My first child did not take well to breast feeding, whether it be my nerves and inexperience got the better of me or whatever, and I had to bottle feed. My second did great with the breast, then went to the bottle at about 5 months. And my third was breast feed for about 3 months then I had to alternate breast and bottle when I went back to work. For some women it is just too uncomfortable and that is FINE! Noone should be expected to do something that they feel uneasy about. But there are certain benefits of breast feeding that shouldn't be downplayed just because you know someone that did breast feed and you did not like them or someone else made you feel bad for not breast feeding. Lastly, I will want to go see the movie, if for nothing else but a good laugh. It was actually a few of my students that encouraged me to look up the trailer after seeing it at the theaters. Several of them want me to see about taking them to see it for a field trip when it comes out. I think some people are expecting too much from this movie because of its title. Please be realistic and get the fact that it is just a comedy, not some kind of educational biography that most people would not bother to go see because they would be bored to tears. Oh, and by the way, most kids that get pregnant now don't mean to get pregnant; it really is just about the sex. Teens are going through a self-centered, selfish stage in which they thrive on getting gratification and too many think that they can get that feeling through sex. When it comes to pregnancy they just have that "it won't happen to me" mind set. Then when it does, most of them don't really know what they are in store for, so it isn't really a big deal for them. Anyway, now that I have written my own book I am just going to sign off by saying go see the movie, have fun and laugh, then go home and, if you have children, hug them and tell them they were well worth the physical pain and financial issues that you dealt (or deal) with!

If you have not seen a movie, and DON'T want to -why REVIEW it? I just... yeah... your stupidity knows no bounds. Next time watch a movie and give an opinion based on what it is and not just your douche tendencies...

losers get on here and review movies that they haven't seen. and real freaking idiots actually think we care about their thoughts to a movie they haven't seen. AND PEOPLE THAT MAY AS WELL JUMP OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO LIFE ARE THOSE THAT NOT ONLY COMENT ON MOVIES THEY HAVEN'T SEEN, THINK WE CARE, BUT THEN LEAVE A 10 PAGE NOVEL - no one is reading your stupid posts, get a life

Pregnancy sucks!!! Morning sickness, bloating, back pain, stretch marks, constipation, etc., followed by a ravenous appetite and mood swings. Yeah it is about time someone brought those points out and made a comedy about it. You have to laugh, otherwise no one would want to procreate anymore. But at the end of pregnancy, there is this little amazing person you created. Looks like a cute movie!!! OH and don't forget the sleepless nights after junior arrives....BONUS :)

***HUGS*** 8 months preggo here, 37 weeks, due anytime. One thing I can say is that it is bringing pregnancy awareness to the mainstream. Now, I would walk around everywhere out in public, as I like to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy. Before my big belly would draw shocked glances from guys. Now, this past weekend...in just the past few days, those same jock/ typically inexperienced clueless guys look at you like "oh, pregnant lady" ...like I'm actually a part of society (rather than an ostracized *alien creature* to gawk at). Amazing enough, this movie is HUMANIZING pregnancy, like there's actually lives and a person behind, no just only an enormous belly!! Thanks to this movie!!!! Thank you movie!!!

(p.s. As a thank you, I will watch this movie whether it sucks or not! I haven't watched it yet [ehmmm...hard to do things with this giant belly sticking out and the backaches], but definitely will pay full price to watch in theaters soon!)

What is wrong with you? You obviously have deep-seeded issues that require decades of therapy.

Honestly this review is horrible, I for example am a man, and this does not demasculnize anyone, birth is a scary experience and it shows all sides, it is not anti-semetic to discuss circumcision it is a big deal in a persons life. GROW UP.

I agree, BREATS feeding doesn't do any more than bottle feeding, but BREAST feeding does. Science and all that. Also, not that your life story isn't super fascinating, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the movie. I bet those actors were breasts fed. I bet the whole studio was breastfed! It's a breastfeeding invasion! Let's boycott everything made by people fed the natural way! Screw nature!

The good thing of bout breastfeed is that the baby get the natural nutrients and cOlostrum thAt rich in antibodies that could protect them from infections but the bad thing is the mother is living an unhealthy life style then you should not consider breastfeedng..

If someone had taken a dump on a roll of film and ran it through a projector, that would have been more entertaining. And the dialogue would have been more intelligent. Complete excrement, as are all projects involving J Lo.

You know what REALLY drives your point home, Miss Humbleyourselves? Misspelling every other word.

I've never had kids but hope to soon. And I can't WAIT for this movie! My best friend and I have been waiting for this movie since we saw the first trailer months ago. Not only does it look humorous, it looks honest.

      True that

Agree. The ranting about the crappy family life is really to the point too!! Lol

Waiting for this piece of excrement for months? What a sad empty life. Many people have killed themselves for less.

So me, my sis and a friend will be going to see it so we can pee our pants laughing. We each have or will have 4 kids each and no pretty, perfect bump between us. But I know I will be able to laugh at this stuff.

I'm currently pregnant and can't wait to see it! It's called comedy, honey, and I agree with another person on here: you need to calm down... and probably talk to a licensed counselor or therapist because you've got some serious underlying issues it seems.

It seems stupid to say bad things about a movie that you have not even seen. It is a comedy and it is entertainment. Enough said.
