No, not everyone gets fat but we all show signs of pregnancy. Be it swollen ankles, a few pounds. Reality is most woman do gain a some weight besides just the baby. These pictures are for the most part unrealistic but so is much of Hollywood. It is safe to say this is a movie I will be skipping. I've already wasted too much time on it

not true i weighed 145 before pregnancy and lost 30 pounds from morning sickness then through out my pregnancy only gained 7 pounds and no there was nothing wrong with me or the baby, not everyone is the same.. tired of other women thinking so or acting like if someone elses pregnancy/ delivery wasn't like theirs then it wasn't "normal or something wasn't right"..

Before pregnancy I was at my heaviest 170 and lost 30lbs in the first trimester and gained 10lbs back throughout my whole pregnancy. And my baby and I were perfectly healthy, in fact he was a decent size baby 8lbs 4oz. And when I was pregnant with twins I gained 25lbs my boys were born weighing 5lbs and 5lbs 9oz. So not everyone gets fat just because they are pregnant. everybody's body is different.

It depends on how much fat your body was originally made up of. If you were a lean person (not skinny) then you will need to gain more, to give proper fat stores to the baby. If you're heavier or think you're at a healthy weight but in reality your body is composed of too many fatty stores, then you don't need to gain nearly as much. An average healthy pregnancy should expect to gain 30lbs. Key word is average. That's the average healthy woman in her mid 20's to early 30's.

My god! Even if real pregnant women gain weight, why do you expect people wearing FAKE pregnant stomachs to be larger? Really!

Um not everyone gets super fat...big misconception. You're only supposed to ingest an extra 300 calories, not enough to give you double chins.

I HATE when movies portray an actress being pregnant and she's nothing but belly. Sure, there are some lucky ladies out there who just get a belly and bigger boobs and look fantastic....but for the majority, that doesn't happen! I'm a 5'3, normally 112 lb woman that sure as heck gains in her bottom area as well as the belly! And to top it off, most of us have bags and dark circles under our eyes too from lack of good sleep and morning sickness. Come on Hollywood, quit portraying perfect women all the time. It's getting old.

It all depends on if you are carrying a boy or a girl. A girl will fill out your sides but boys can be carried all in front. MOST women do gain a little more than just "baby weight" and those that do gain a little more are much more likely to be able to breastfeed. Nature has her ways...
