A very good movie. Way more drama then I thought there would be in the war movie. The visuals of the war scene were quite graphic but not overbearing like some of the other films. The story was quite heart wrenching, both on the field and the women back at the base. I didn't live through this so I don't know how true this would be, but it seemed really realistic with the emotions being so raw and the thought process being rational and intense. It was incredible to see Gibson's character truly not leave his men despite the higher-ups wanting him to leave to avoid the massacre. I really enjoyed this film.
