What a GEM!!

Finally a movie that has family values that show love for humanity and mammals. This movie was warm and real. My entire family started talking afterwards about how people work together and communicate. My teens enjoyed it even though there was no violence/blood like most movies out there. Matt Damon portrays a compassionate Dad. A quality that is missed in most films and is a treasure to experience.

    LOVED the movie, however I was disappointed in the swearing and Easter Bunny comments. I was THRILLED to have a good family movie to watch with my boys (ages 7 & 9) and I loved the story. But the amount of swearing made for several uncomfortable moments and took away from the overall message of the movie. Then I had to try and explain the Easter Bunny conversation, as well as both boys giggling and asking exactly what it meant to call someone a d*ck. It was totally unnecessary and I wish they had made a cleaner choice. That being said... I still loved the movie and am glad we all watched it.

    OMG they say bad words in the movie! I cant watch it then cuzz my brain could be damaged by the devilish talk!

    Jeez! Glad I read the reviews before taking my four year old to this ... it is at the cheap seat theater we go to a few times a month, and he desperately wanted to see it. I thought from the previews it was a comedy with a tiny bit of a dramatic storyline (loss of mom, bit off more than they could chew, etc.) ... now I'm reading that a small child says "dick" and a tiger gets put down? WHaaaa??? This was billed as a family movie all the way through ...

    Swearing doesn't really bother me - but when it is done in a movie, sometimes the little guy thinks it is funny and will repeat it (especially when a kid does it) ... this instance likely wouldn't have mattered much to us though, since it sounds like we probably wouldn't have made it through the whole movie without my son getting bored (he's a little too young to understand the dramatic scenes).

    i was very surprised at the swearing in the movie, they could have made it without the swearing.

    Bad language? I don't recall anything that I even raised an eye at. I thought this was one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Would highly recommend it to anyone. my 75 yr old mother loved it and my 12 yr old daughter loved it. Wonderful acting, and a GREAT storyline.

      The word D$CK is said by a 7 year old girl for one. Loud and clear for all to hear. I do not talk like that in front of children! Shame on those who do....BERMUDA!

    I agree!! I took my kids, youngest is 7 years old. Afterwards I'm having to explain not to repeat these words, and it's really presented as a family movie. And the little girl in the movie saying "dick", totally unnecessary.

    Well, first of all Matt Damon did not put a rating on this movie. He just made a movie from a good story. Secondly he probably wasn't trying to make a family move just a movie. Thirdly, kids hear bad language everyday. All you folks looking for a babysitter should stick to the Disney stuff. Let the rest of us enjoy a good movie without you're editorializing.

      People who put movies together have choices.I'm glad Matt chose to do a family movie but I'm sorry for me it gets ruin by the evil flith of words. Is it really called for. Really. More people would go to these movies if hollywood would clean up their act and also the people doing the acting. Now I can't recomend the movie to my friends who also have kids.Sorry my choice.Yes I know people swear around kids.They don't care.I do.I will not be like them.I'm 59 years old and I don't like to hang with people where every word that comes out of their mouth is filth.Even at 59 it's hard to accept.This world is num to it all.Sad.Hollywood always takes things beyond the level they need to.Example the movie Grey. Every other word in the movie is the F word. Yeah I've heard the word we all have but is it required.I 've watched movies where the movie is perfect good story. good actors . good movie for kids then they ruin it by throwing in one time the F word.I shake my head and wonder what in the world were they thinking.All I can say is EVIL,EVIL.

      Also not to say this movie did it but bad enough when adults think they have to have filthy words come out of their mouth but hollywood even goes further with it making young kid actors saying the F word and doing things not acceptable.
