This is an excellent epic. The horse trainer did a great job with the many horses used in this movie. As a horse owner, I know that it is not easy to get horses to perform the way they do in this movie. So many horses died in WWI and this movie shows …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

I was terribly disappointed. This movie is very predictable from beginning to end, nothing will surprise you and there are many slow, boring parts.
No emotion in this movie, or rather, the emotion is telegraphed so early on in each scene, one doesn't …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

As some of the professional reviews say, "Spectacular scenery.". Unfortunately the story is weak and the attempts at drama are just dragged out and boring. If you make a list of Steve's movie (best at the top), War Horse would be at the …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful-

It sure seems that much of the better part of this story was left on the cutting room floor as the movie was very choppy and unfilling. Why leave out the part where the French farmer's grandaughter apparently died. Her sweet role could've been …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
