Stone at his best.

Despite the polished performances from Labouf and Douglas, even they cant keep this poorly directed film from losing taste as it progresses. Thankfully, its well thought-out script kept it from total depression at the end. This is one of those movies that will definitely get one-type of the audience... but might not satisfy the rest. Entrepeneurs may be impressed... but someone like me will only be pleased with what they will get. On the even brighter side, the film could have been a "bailout" but in fact turned out to prove better than I had perceived. Douglas's "Godfather" act is rather amusing, and amazingly the "Transformers" star Labouf has hit the spot where his particular character was concerned. Nevertheless, Oliver Stone might want to improve the production of his otherwise flimsy direction which we also get in the 2004 "Alexander".
