People love this movie?
I think their character is questionable.

You want to tackle the issue of aging men and their sexual …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Boring and self-indulgent, with a lot of navel-gazing. A dreary character study at best. What was the point of making this movie?

I thought Peter O'Toole gave a great performance and Jodie Whittaker was equally amazing as a newcomer in "Venus."
For me this story border-lined on kind of amoral. It lacked a kind of moral sensibility and didn't care about right …more»13 of 21 people found this review helpful-

I don't get it...I just don't get it. I'm no conservative but this movie is sick. An old man lusting after a 14 year old girl? It was disturbing & disgusting...and not much pushes me to that limit. Not goodmore»5 of 9 people found this review helpful-

Peter O'Toole is indeed still in the game. What a masterwork performance by one of the great actors of the last fifty years. This is as great a movie as many of the critics claimed Lost in Translation to be. Like that film it is grimly realistic. …more»1 of 2 people found this review helpful
