Most period mega films take poetic license, distorting history. Vatel, is is as realistic as it gets, great performances from Roth,Gerard and Uma, make this a sparking film.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

One of the best movies ever made. The movie is full of passion for life yet ended by Vatel taking away his own life...
