Total Recall(2012)- User Reviews

I thought that this film rocked. I had more fun watching Total Recall than The Dark Knight Rises, I can tell you that.

I notice that a lot of critics (professional or not) seem to be moaning about this film because it wasn't "deep" enough or that the writing was sub-par, the actors were flat or whatever. They've also said stuff like "Colin didn't match the emotional depth that Arnold brought to the role" - #$%$!? There seems to be a whole lot of folks lookin' back to the 1990 film with rose-colored glasses firmly in place...

Look people, not every film that comes out needs to be some poignant, thought provoking, arty, Shakespearean masterpiece. Sometimes you want to go to the theater just to have a good time.

Also, I saw the original at the theater when it came out way back in the day, and though it was a blast to watch, it wasn't perfect by any means.

Total Recall (2012) gave me just what I wanted from it: a quality action/adventure story set in a futuristic, cyberpunk world filled with hot chicks, guns, gadgets and killer robots. I had a great time watching it on the big screen and will most certainly buy it when it's released for the home market.
