To be honest, you'd probably be better off buying this because the buying price is surprisingly lower than the rental price. Anyway, this movie had some great visuals. The story was simple, kinda Lucas-ish, really, but it works. The action was awesome, there were some funny moments. What brings this movie down for me was the plotholes. This movie has lots of them. How was Cale able to understand what the Drej were saying, let alone pilot their ship? How did Gune survive an explosion at point-blank? (They really could have explained this) Can we get more info on why the Drej hate humans? How did Cale convince and entire colony of people he didn't know to build him a ship, let alone get the job done so quickly?

Overall, it's a great movie for what it is but plotholes prevent it from getting so much as an A-.
