I don't go unless my man Denzel is in the mix SOMEWHERE. However, I say this without having seen this Steve Harvey movie...if it gives Black people jobs in front of and behind the camera with excellent writing, casting, directing, acting, etc., etc., etc.,., hold my mule while I go up to the booth and buy my three tickets. The third ticket is for the mule (~ _o).

Chick Flick. Steve Harvey wrote a love note/infomercial to himself! Really, I could say more, but that covers it.

Carl, please do not listen to the critics' point of view about any movie. that's why they are called critics. I know going to the movies is expensive but think about it would you rather go to the movies to see I movie that YOU picked out for yourself and it was bad or go to the movies to see a movie that SOMEBODY else picked out for you and it was bad? I let the previews lure me in (LOL) it's more fun that way. Enjoy the popcorn, oh yea that cost an arm and a leg toooo!! smh LOL

I have the book, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, though. I thought it was really funny, sweet, and entertaining. The writing was good and the cast was great. I've seen it twice; once with a man and once with a woman and they both enjoyed it. The guy I saw it with is far from feminine, so I definitely wouldn't call it a chick flick. Of course everyone has the right to their own opinion, but I think it was well worth the money.

Can we get REAL here? This movie has been out three weeks now and it only drop to #2 by a Major Block Buster after its THIRD WEEK. Can you say SLEEPER? I liked the trailer and felt this movie would do good.....but COME ON. This movie has truly proven its worth, at least for me. Im amazed because I heard little hype about it; even after it hit #1 for two weeks in a row....Ok to be fair Yahoo had a banner for it.

It just seems to me this movie has done a great job with little more than world of mouth; I just wonder what the numbers would have been like if they would have truly did a advertising blitz....Im just saying. Really, go see this movie if you ain't seen it....if you have go back. :-)

Tyler Perry I don't believe is responsible for this movie.
    • T. Edwards 5 days ago
You're right! He is NOT responsible for this movie (thank the Lord). TP is getting on my nerves. He really puts Black women in a negative light (oh except the wise old mama characters) and his plots are getting old. I'm excited to see this movie - maybe it'll uplift ALL Black people for once.

This is not a Tyler Perry Film. Hello! It was brilliant and a real depiction of relationships today. Take the good with the bad. Eat the meat and spit out the bones.

This was a very good movie two thumbs up...just for the record Tyler Perry had nothing to do with this movie other than buying ticket and some popcorn and enjoying it himself.

While the movie -IS- funny, it in no way represents real life situations in relationships. If you think it does, perhaps you might reconsider your values. I knew my wife as a close friend for over six years before asking for her hand---- we've been happily married 46 years now.

Poor and stupid movie. Should be retitled: 'Think like a black man.' Don't waste your time or money on this loser movie.
