Victoria Regina!

star55

The early life and love of this extraordinary woman, who presided over one of the most incredible periods in human history. Whatever your politics, your social beliefs, your stance on constitutional monarchy, Queen Victoria, though small in stature, becomes shrewd, calculating, and larger than life as she matures into her reign and her love of the man who'll share her life, although all too briefly. Visually stunning, subtle acting, historically accurate with one exception: Prince Albert was never wounded taking an assassin's bullet, as shown here. Director's license to spice things up? Queen Victoria did survive at least 6 attempts on her life, but none serious as shown here. Still, I can forgive that one expense as her character grows into her role as queen, and as a loving wife and woman.
