I don't know how anyone can give this a rave review. It IS NOT SCARY. There are some "shock factors" like loud bangs and "scary kids" showing up in windows or if you are scared by dark and dreary- but that is hardly scary. Oh how I long for a good scary movie that causes resltess sleep - this is NOT it! As much as I like Radcliff, all he had to do was look sad, scared or confused. Not that much of an acting stretch at all for him. It was WAY off the short story but that was good as the short story is even less scary than this movie is! Wait to rent this or wait for someone else to offer to pay to take you. Such a disappointment after I was so anxiously waiting for this movie to be released! Even the poster is scarier than the moive is!
