After viewing "The Visitor" for the first time, I am satisfied with this independent film. The story line was truthful and straightforward. The way the director depicted the life of Walter and Tarek was great. Two unknown families meeting in an uncomfortable situation, yet put aside their own personal beliefs, problems and time for the sake of one thing: justice. This film depicts how today in our 21st Century government in the U.S. exists injustice; it truly is a black and white world. You're either A or B. The Visitor is one of many independent films that demonstrate the tears and suffrage any family goes through with the immigration process and justice.
I couldn't help but smile when Tarek helped Walter come out of his "shell" and helped him with closure to his wife's death. Walter's wife wasn't the focal point of this movie, but you can tell that his wife's death truly affected him. Meeting Tarek, Zainab and Mouna were a great way for Walter to discove himself again.
GO WATCH THE VISITOR! You won't be disappointed. :)
