then becomes a commercial for open borders. "I/He did nothing wrong" is repeated 10 times in the film and all the illegals are sincere, hard-working, wonderful people. The everyman who takes them in is shocked that the wonderful, smiling, bongo playing musician is deported. Of course in all of the countries they came from, Syria, Senegal, (like Vatican City and even France) have tougher immigration policies than the U.S. but this film isn't interested in presenting both sides. It is manipulative with syrupy speeches and gut-wrenching separations all meant to "convert" us. The other side of the problem is never even mentioned; that open borders is unconstitutional, unworkable and economically destructive.
