The Twilight Saga: New Moon(2009)- User Reviews

I came and saw this movie with low expectations because of the first movie and yet... it's still not worth it. New Moon was worse than Twilight and Twilight was already pretty poorly made/directed (regardless of budget, that's no excuse).

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not some person who just hates on Twilight for no apparent reason. I thoroughly enjoyed Meyer's books (even The Host) and loved almost all of them (minus 1). Heck, I even went to the Barnes&Nobles event at night to buy the last book among many others. I sat through endless hours to finish just one of the books in less than 2 days... but sitting through this movie for even 10 minutes was so dreadful. Literally, the whole movie was dull. The acting was awkward and bland (didn't really feel a nice connection between characters like I did in the books), basically poor character development.

I'm surprised the reviews even reached this high. I fell asleep numerous times during the movie, zoning in only to immediately zone right back out. I am an avid movie-goer and usually can handle terrible movies without falling asleep. This one was was not an exception. It was a terrible, terrible movie but that doesn't make me less of a fan of her books.

p.s. changing the directors didn't make much of a difference (aside from the cgi that has slightly improved), Edward still does not look "dashing" with the glittering.
