I thought the movie captured the essence of the book very well. There is an obvious cheesiness in the movie which mimics the book.

I found the comical scenes and one liners refreshing and enjoyable.

This is not an Oscar winner and nor was it meant to be. It is simply a visual adaptation of a book for those loyal Twihards like myself that appreciate a good ole teen love story. Nothing more, nothing less.
