As a kid, I always loved the original Stooges, and I still love their short movies as an adult. When I first heard about this movie being made, I was very skeptical about it. I thought that it would be three actors doing their own spins on the characters. However, when I heard that the Farrely Brothers (known Stooge fanatics and sticklers for staying with what works best) were making this movie, I was excited. I knew that they would make the movie the way it should be made.
I saw the movie last night, and it was even better than I expected! I was in constant hilarity at their antics. There is one scene where they do a two-minute extended eye-poking, face-slapping, and head-bonking that is one of the best exhibitions of choreographed slapstick that I have ever seen. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't breathe! The only bad part of the movie was when the Farrely Brothers had to put a "disclaimer" at the end of the movie, because our society today would see this as a convenient excuse for them to blame the movie for their kids' bad behavior. It really is a shame that they had to do this, as to almost apologize for the antics. I will be going back to see it again because there are always some things that I overlook the first few times that I catch later.
