This film is another classic from Tobe Hopper! He made some awsome horror based films like the funhouse and the unforgettable poltergiest. I loved texas chainsaw massacre because the atmosphere in this film was real not like the typical movies today, dont get me wrong I own all of the movies from this one to the begining and love watching them all. I think this film is underrated compared to that piece of junk movie called the evil dead. This movie is more brutal and disturbing then evil dead, alot of this movie is based on true facts of the murders in the hewitt house. This movie is worth the money! they just released a very good quality verison on dvd digitally remastered in high def and a widecreen presentation in the 1:85 aspect ratio. This is one of the best movies to turn off all the lights in your house and crank up your surround sound as it is truly SCARY
