The director could not make up his mind which he wanted, drama or comedy. I would have done it as straight drama, given the talent he had to work with. Walken is perfect in his role, Leary very engaging in his. The rest are mail-in performances. I am glad it did not end well for the young couple. Happy endings are too easy, this ending was more probably what would happen if you pissed off someone like Walken's character. I enjoyed Leary wailing on the drunk guy with the toaster. I think all people like that should be beaten with appliances.
