The Silence of the Lambs(1991)- User Reviews

Unforgettable

Starting off with Jodie Fosters public disgrace as FBI agent Clarice Starling "Silence" only builds and builds as a manifesto of evil as well as valor on the part of Starling. Despite the brilliance and realistic nature and emotion of all aspects of the story, as well as all characters which are brought in, none come close to keeping your attention as does the almost truly frightening portrayal of Hannibal Lecter, as played by Anthony Hopkins.
I've always deeply respected Hopkins as an actor, especially in "Silence", as well as "Hearts in Atlantis", but in this, he is at his absolute best.
Teasing bits of personal information out of Starling in exchange for advice on the active serial killer she is tracking, Lecter eventually psychologically overtakes her, escaping in a most gruesome way.
Excellent everything, what can I say. Beautiful acting, production and direction, and a flawless storyline makes "Silence of the Lambs" an all time favorite of mine.
