"A census taker once tried to test me, I ate his liver with fava beans and a nice chianti,[slurping sound]." This quote was voted number 21 on the top 100 movie quotes of all time. This film was also voted #7 on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments. Anthony Hopkin's character, Hannibal Lecter was voted by the American Film Institute{AFI}, the #1 film villain of all time. Jodie Foster's character, Clarice Starling, was voted #6 on the list of greatest film heroes of all time. This movie was fascinating and kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. This is my favorite horror movie of all-time. Compared to Manhunter, Hannibal, and Red Dragon this is still the best of the Hannibal Lecter series because of its compelling plot, its unforgettable characters, and its disturbing and psychological scenes. It is still hard to think of who is scarier in this movie, Hannibal Lecter or Buffalo Bill, but I would think that Lecter is scarier. This movie won Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay, that's a total of five Academy Awards. This movie is simply amazing. The movie may be too gruesome for some but other than that this movie is great. If there were a way to rate this movie higher than an A+ I would do it.A+++
