The Seeker(2007)- User Reviews

Will Stanton, a 14-year old kid moved to England after his father got his job transferred. But little does he know that he discovers one secret: he is the last of the Old Ones, a group of warriors also known as "The Light" who spended many years trying to fend off an evil force called "The Dark". His job is to find the six signs of the light in order to defeat the Rider before chaos ensues to him and his family.

Let's just say that I've missed this movie in 2007 and I didn't read The Dark Is Rising Sequence Series until a few years later, I did read the books and I did watched this movie. So, about it? How about this: it wasn't as good as other great fantasy movies like Harry Potter, Narnia, and The Lord of the Rings due to its rushed storyline, the mediocre directing and cliche elements, but the production values were creative, the visuals were good, Ian Mcshane was great, the action sequences were cool, and the Christophe Beck music score had a lot of effort. We all know its not gonna be the next fantasy series in cinema history, so Harry Potter has been saved.

It may not be my favorite movie of 2007, but its good for the kids and definitely worth-seeing on DVD.
