I watched this film and my heart broke for those young men who were innocent. I am a major supporter of the U.S. Marine Corps. I was very disappointed when I viewed The Road to Guantanamo. This movie certainly has an important story to tell and I am not unsympathetic with its point of view but it is very ineffective. As entertainment, Guantanamo is excellent. But the premise of the movie is based on a huge lie. These three jihdists went to afghanistan to wage war on behalf of bin laden. I'm not going to dwell on the political statements of this movie, even though those are clearly critical to the story and why it was told in the first place. In my opinion, the debate on politics shouldn't overshadow the facts in this case.

It's funny to me that Bush supports his "liberation" of Iraq and Afganistan with vows to protect human rights, spread democracy, and to ensure the safety of the American people.
