The River Wild(1994)- User Reviews

this was a good movie to watch on a saturday night at the house. meryl streep did a good job as usual and it was funny to see john c reilly play the bad guy. the scenery was outstanding but the movie lacked depth. the movie involves two men who rob an auction but we don't learn much more about it other then the money is with them and they are heading down stream to escape. kevin bacon was good as the antagonist who befriends the family then turns thier world upside down. i felt myself at times fast forwarding the movie because they seem to do the same thing over and over again. for example: they tie the boat up, go on land, and terrorize the family. they do this three or four times. in conclusion, i say see the film but don't expect it to have a lot of depth.
