Assuming that it's one of those obscure movies that didn't provide much appeal to the general media, but every time I put "The Replacement Killers" back on the shelf of my DVD library, it always calls me out begging me for one more viewing every few weeks or so. I guess what thrills the most about this movie is the amazing chemistry between the two leading stars John Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) and Meg Coburn (Mira Sorvino). Sure there's no romance involved between them, better yet, there's real human contact in terms of touch by the two leads. But when they're seen on the screen together, the interaction is pure magical.
The action provided was very energetic and exciting even if there are some misunderstandings in the movie. I'm curious as to how a low-key forger like Meg Coburn get to be so crafty as a fighter and a shooter, but if anyone who wishes to answer that question, I'll it up to them. I don't care to answer my own question; I watch this movie just for the pure enjoyment.
With exciting action, good professional chemistry between, Sorvino and Chow, and plenty of ammunition, action film fanatics will most likely remain on the edge of their seats for the next 88 minutes and leave their chair with a satisfying feeling after the end credits roll.
