Before the credits are even done, you know that you're in for one of those movies where the lead characters are so lame and pathetic that most of the movie will be spent making fun of them. If you enjoy lauching at the misfortune of others--especially people who are not as smart as you are--then you're gonna love this movie.
There is an elistist tone throughout. Most of the things that make these guys losers are things associated with blue-collar under-educated people. For example, the John C. Reilly character listens to motivational tapes like the ones one might see on an infomercial.
They try to wrap up this story with a little bit of heart and intelligence, but by this time it is too late.
